Dear Dyer,
Will you plea se refer to my letter of the 8th of April about the claims of the Chinese Ministry of Communications in respect of railway material requisitioned in Hong Kong in 1941 on behalf of the War Office. You will remember that I enclosed a copy of a letter addressed to Mr. Creech Jones by Mr. Keswick of Matheson and Company and asked you to let me know how matters stood so that a full reply could be returned to Mr. Keswick. This instter is now most urgent and a full reply must be sent from here within the next few days. I should therefore be very grateful if you would let me have a reply to my letter.
2. We are now being pressed also by the Hong Kong Government for information as to the progress of their own portion of the claim and this adds to the difficulty of my position.
3. I take the opportunity of sending you a letter, in original from the Hong Yong
